2009 Events

February 21: Chocolate Festival in Kingsport
Panera took part in the Chocolate Festival supporting the American Kidney Foundation.  The festival took place at Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn., where Panera and other food vendors gave away samples of their chocolate goods.  Visit www.kidney.org/site/210/chocolateNE.cfm?ch=210 for more information. 

March 18: Chattanooga Chamber Small Business Awards Luncheon
Tom Krings The Chattanooga-area Panera Bread cafes were finalists in the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards, in the 51-200 employees' category. The awards were presented during a luncheon at the Chattanooga Convention Center. 

April:  Star 102.1 Breakfast Fundraiser Supporting Make-A-Wish

Panera partnered with Star 102.1 to raise funds in Knoxville for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee.   

April 11: Star 102.1 Easter Eggstravaganza in Knoxville

Panera Bread provided bagel samples to more than 1000 kids who came to Zuma Fun Park in Knoxville.  Panera Bread kicked off the "Bunny Trail" which was set up for the kids on the miniature golf course where kids received giveaways from  numerous vendors.

April 17: One Morning One Wish in Knoxville

Panera partnered with B97.5 in Knoxville to help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee. 

April 24: Race for the Cure Fort Oglethorpe
Race Pictures Panera Bread was on hand to give out bagel samples to runners in the annual Race for the Cure which is a fundraiser for the Susan Komen Foundation.

April 25: Waltz for Wishes in Knoxville
Panera Bread was involved with the 5th Annual Waltz for Wishes in Knoxville that benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee.  Visit www.wishetn.org for more information.  

May 2: Bill Gregory Healthcare Classic

May 9: Girls on the Run of East Tennessee

Girls on the Run had their annual spring run at the Bristol Motor Speedway and Panera gave bagel pieces away to the 400+ runners. Visit www.gotrnetn.org for more information.  

May 10: Network of Strength Walk to Empower Chattanooga

Panera Bread gave away bagel samples to the 400 participants at the Mother's Day Walk to Empower where participants raised funds for the organization which helps those affected by breast cancer.  The walk took place at the Tennessee Riverpark. May 11: Chattanooga Youth Network Golf Tournament

May 23: Girls on the Run of West North Carolina
Girls on the Run Girls on the Run of West North Carolina held their spring run and Panera gave away bagel pieces to the 1000+ runners.  Visit http://girlsontherun.org/default.html for more information. Girls on the Run

May 28: Chamber Networking in West Knoxville
Chamber Coffee West Knox Chamber members were invited to the North Peter's Road cafe to sample coffee and network with each other.  Visit www.farragutchamber.com for more information. Chamber Coffee

June 2: Dalton Relay for Life
Panera Bread sponsored and participated in Dalton's Relay for Life at Dalton's Fairgrounds. This is an overnight walk with a remembrance ceremony and fund raising activities for the American Cancer Society. Panera Bread sponsored the event and provided bagel samples to the walkers. July 15: Fun Fest Kid's Central Kingsport
Panera Bread was a sponsor of Fun Fest Kid's Central in Kingsport.  Panera Bread helped bring three inflatables and a train ride for the kids.  Panera Bread was also on site providing product samples to the kids. Visit http://visitkingsport.com/funfest/ for more information.

August 15: Feast with the Beasts at Knoxville Zoo
